Anna's still around

Here is a photo I took in Alpine today of an Anna's that I'm not sure is an adult male or juvenile male.

Lewis's Woodpecker

Dale Ohl had reported a Lewis's Woodpecker along Highway 118 between Alpine and Ft. Davis, just south of a rest area. I located it there this morning along the highway where it goes through Calamity Creek Ranch property. Its favorite perch was the ranch gate post. It appears to be molting. Hopefully, it'll stick around so we can see its brand new plumage.
