You inspired me!
TerriAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3892139825447599380.post-69769386813763092732013-04-23T20:19:27.787-07:002013-04-23T20:19:27.787-07:00Thanks. I won't know if it freezes there tonight other than if I see frost damage when I get down there Thursday morning, but we're not predicted to get that cold. We covered the tomatoes here in Alpine just in case, though.Carolyn Ohl-Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06031703938914548677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3892139825447599380.post-53346162252051785482013-04-23T20:18:06.542-07:002013-04-23T20:18:06.542-07:00I think most birds like mulberries. One year I had so many waxwings that I feared the tree would be picked clean by them before the warblers, thrushes, and tanagers arrived, but there were still plenty left. The White-throated Sparrows are eating a lot of them too, which I wish they weren't.Carolyn Ohl-Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06031703938914548677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3892139825447599380.post-74232087003679585202013-04-23T19:20:32.789-07:002013-04-23T19:20:32.789-07:00Oh, PS, I didn't now Summer Tanager's ate ...Oh, PS, I didn't now Summer Tanager's ate mulberries. I have a mulberry tree in my back yard, no berries yet though. I'm quite a bit higher on the latitude than you. Flocks of Cedar Waxwings spend days feasting on the tree in my yard. They'll be here soon, usually arrive in May!
TerriAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3892139825447599380.post-34135726906436709982013-04-23T19:17:11.880-07:002013-04-23T19:17:11.880-07:00Beautiful!
