Same drought, same birds

Not much going on here. I photographed a few regular birds. This Verdin is here year-round...

as are the Scaled Quail.

This Turkey Vulture is a summer resident, although in his turtle-necked costume he looks bundled up for winter.

What a bummer! I finally got a chance to photograph an Elf Owl with its eyes open and when I downloaded the photos its head was turned away on all of them.
