This is an "after" shot. Nothing would have been really visible on a "before" shot. |
Went to the Dr. today for the first time in years because my Nurse Practitioner wanted him to look at the spot on my ear that had been bothering me. He removed it and sent it in for testing. Thought it was probably basal cell carcinoma. Also said it's the price us fair-skinned people pay for living in the desert. Ear's a little red, but not painful. No cancer runs in our family so it'll be interesting when the test results come back. It's no big deal, just part of getting old. And beats the alternative.
I saw a yard today with lots of lovely flowers and butterflies. Checked it out. Nothing I hadn't seen lots of before, but it's always nice to see so many flowers and butterflies. Most of these flowers are Mexican Sunflowers (tithonia).
One of the butterfly species I saw there was Orange Sulphur. For some reason I don't seem to get them at CMO.
Here's a photo of an American Redstart that Mac shot at the oasis today. Wish I was there.
I've had 2 cancerous lesions removed from my face and many precancerous. It's the price we pay for loving the outdoors.
ReplyDeleteYup, not complaining. Small price to pay.
