It rained all around but missed the oasis again. Vegetation is really looking bad. I think this madrone isn't going to be long in this world.
There were no interesting birds, butterflies, or odes to photograph, so even though I'm not really into moths, I photographed some while I was watering trees. I have no idea what they are. They love the ubiquitous beebrush.
I wouldn't have though this year was a lot more lacking in rainfall than others...but perhaps I am remembering 2011. Time compresses for me sometimes.Hope the madrone makes it.
ReplyDeleteIt's too soon to assess 2021, but the oasis has gone over a year with record heat waves, record cold spells, and no runoff into my tanks. In that way it's shaping up to be like 2011, but it's early. Still could get lots of rain. All around me has gotten monsoons. Just missed me. Last year in June I was the only one who got one all year. Just the way it goes.
