Weather is warm one day and cold the next, back and forth. I'm going to be coming out of hibernation soon now. The last couple of months have been hard for me.
In April, I'm supposed to be the recipient of some kind of award called the first annual Dennis Shepler Texas Birding Ambassador Award. I feel very honored and priviledged to be the first person to receive it. More on that when the time comes. (Dennis was a good friend who designed the CMO t-shirts, as you may recall.)
Nothing to really blog about, but soon I hope that will change.

Awesome. Congratulations. You do put in a lot of effort and time to provide an interesting location for birder to visit pulling in people from all over the country and the world. So well deserved.
Congrats, Carolyn. This is a well-deserved award! Can’t wait to hear more about it.
Thanks! Since the award ceremony will be at a time the oasis will be at its busiest, and I won't be able to attend, they're going to come interview me or something. Will keep you updated.
Sending this from a birding trip to Panama, relishing this passion that you helped nurture by opening your precious Oasis to me several years ago. You richly deserve ANY and all awards coming your way Carolyn. Thank you for all you do for the birds and our planet!
Congratulations Carolyn, on a well deserved honor.
Congratulations! And thank you for the new post.....whew. A relief. Thanks for going to the trouble. February to get through and then we should be out of the woods on the cold weather - and at least it is the middle of the month!
Thanks all! Exciting times are coming!
