I got to use my new rain gauge for the first time. Now I can measure my rainfall in hundredths of an inch instead of tenths. So I got .23" last night. Cool.
I'm glad you are getting something in the way of rain, a little at a time. Something big will have to change from Abq to El Paso, and actually to at least Santa Fe. Rain gauges with water in them and the heavy scent of creosote and desert soil is a blessing.
I have lived in the Christmas Mountains since 1976, and started my oasis in 1996. For visiting instructions contact me at christmasmountainsoasis@gmail.com
