The fledgling sits patiently making its loud cheep sound repeatedly...
even falling asleep while doing it...
When an adult is near it starts shivvering its wings...
The adult perches near the shivvering fledgling, but hidden from my view, and waits until the fledgling hops over to it. It won't feed it out in the open. I imagine that conditions the baby to become more secretive.
