It rained and hailed last night in Alpine. Didn't hurt the tomatoes too bad. Knocked off some leaves, but hopefully the rain did more good than the hail did bad. Nothing at CMO, of course.

In my usual excitement to get to CMO I forget half the food I had meant to bring. So frustrating. Not that I need it, but that it can spoil before I get back to town. But I'm all giddy with joy when I get here, rushing around checking everything. 

Right away I found a Theona Checkerspot. I've seen them up on the mountain, and I've seen them other places, like Lajitas, but this is my first one at the oasis itself.
