I first thought this Scissortail might be hybridized with a Russet-crowned Motmot, but upon consulting a guide, I see their ranges don't overlap. Saddlebags & flycatchers
I managed to photograph a Red Saddlebags this morning. Caught a couple of them perching briefly.
Meanwhile, as I was patching in the tank, a pair of Scissortail Flycatchers showed up.
