Zapping heat and humidity

Entering a sotol forest

Inside a sotol forest
Got up to 100° at the oasis today, and I became worthless. And so much needs doing. Before it got too hot this morning I did some weed-whacking. Hadn't taken my asthma into consideration when I did my planning, so after an hour I had to quit and take my meds. I was totally wiped out for the day. Tomorrow I'll start anew. Gonna wear a mask and long sleeves and take the meds in advance. (Loratadine, Albuterol, Fluticasone powder and liquid)

My sister's Giant Fishhook Cactus bloomed again today so I got to see that. And smell it. The fragrance is a heavenly unique perfume.

Tree Tobacco looks lovely. Why am I surprised? Because so few of my plans ever work out that when one does it comes as a surprise. That project not only helped me get through the winter, but will be loaded with blooms and hummingbirds soon.

Here are a couple of shots by Mac. This Scott's Oriole is checking out our new water drip.

And the Bell's Vireo is busy feeding her rapidly growing nestlings.
