Having a puny day

Some days I just don't have my normal energy. Today was one of those days. I only lasted 1½ hours working on the trail. Tomorrow I'm going to finish the flat part. If I'm able, I want to do the arroyo at the end of the flat part. Thereafter, the trail will begin climbing. I WILL take photos tomorrow.

Nothing much going on at the oasis these days. I found this freshly dead lizard in the courtyard early this morning. I suspect an Elf Owl caught it and accidentally dropped it, maybe when I went outside before daylight. The lizard is blue underneath but I don't know what species it is.

I scoured the Beargrass (Nolina) blooms for a Sandia Hairstreak but only found one Juniper Hairstreak. It stayed inside the blooms where it was shady, so I didn't get a decent photo of it.

Did slightly better on this Nysa Roadside-Skipper in a huge Skeleton-Leaf Goldeneye bush.
